A weekend split left the Owls' position in the Conference USA standings up in the air. They find themselves in a 10-way tie for second place, behind East Carolina University, who beat the Owls 2-0 on Friday at the Rice Track and Soccer Stadium. When Tom Brady went down in the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs, prematurely ending his 2008-'09 season, I felt his pain because my season ended as well.
